Updated Parent Notice: Pearson Homework Helper - Oct. 23, 2014
Dear LISD Parents,

This communication serves as an update from LISD's Oct. 1, 2014 email regarding Pearson DIGITS website for 6th, 7th and 8th grade math. LISD has received the Homework Helper Practice Books for each student. During the next week, the district will deliver these Homework Helper Practice Books to all middle school campuses. This printed resource is similar to a typical textbook and should be in your student’s hands soon. Pearson continues to work on the online homework portion of the program.

Central Zone Middle School Parent University – Nov. 6
DeLay, Durham, Hedrick and Huffines Middle School are teaming together to host the Lewisville ISD Central Zone Middle School Parent University on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 6:15-8:30 p.m. at Lewisville High School. The free event is open to all LISD parents. Light refreshments will be served and the LHS Student Council will provide free childcare.

Lewisville ISD (LISD) announces and congratulates the following campus bands and choirs for being named National and Commended Winners in The Foundation for Music Education (TFME)’s 2014 Mark of Excellence Project: Arbor Creek Middle School, Creek Valley Middle School, Downing Middle School, Flower Mound High School, Hedrick Middle School, Marcus High School and Shadow Ridge Middle School.
Update iPads to iOS 8 at Earliest Convenience
Dear LISD Parents,

Apple released iOS 8 for the iPad on Wednesday, Sept. 17. LISD’s Technology Department has tested the update and found no issues. They request that all students and staff upgrade their iPad to iOS 8.0.2 at their earliest convenience.

Parent Notice: Pearson Homework Helper Technical Issues - Oct. 1, 2014
Dear Lewisville ISD Parents:

As you may know, Lewisville ISD has experienced technical issues with the Pearson website our 6th, 7th and 8th graders use for math. We know some students are having difficulty with web pages loading slowly, as well as lost assignments during the upload process. Students who lost their assignments using the online homework feature may make up the lost work. Parents with questions about resubmitting lost work may visit with their student’s teacher.
